History

In October 1924 the company Reichmann-Feinoptik was founded by 18 year old Heinrich Reichmann, based in Wedel  next to Hamburg. The company started its first production-line with mirrors for cameras, flat-optics and prisms.

In 1936 the company moved to Hamburg-Altona and started its specialization developing and manufacturing projector lenses. Gaining experience in the projector-technologies together with solid and rounded product quality lead to  worldwide contacts. A constant growth in the production capacity together with latest technologies followed quickly.

The former diary-farm building was bought by Reichmann in May 1964, because the optical-mechanical manufacturing site in Hamburg needed to expand its production. The youngest daughter, Monika Reichmann, finished her 'Optician-Master' as one of the first women in Germany in 1971.

Monika Reichmann was appointed to manage the company in 1974, at its 50th anniversary. Since then Monika Reichmann  encouraged internal training and education as optician professionals leading into guaranteed high quality standards  as well as in time delivery and order processing.
